“I love being able to pair these two prints of Andy’s with prints of mine that directly relate to each other. Love In the Afternoon was painted from their bedroom in The Mill, their home in Chadd’s Ford, PA, where I grew up immediately next door. My photograph, For Life, depicts their house from the corner of my parent’s property there...looking down the Brandywine River. The title derives from the fact that Canada geese mate for life. My portrait of Andy, In His Eyes, was made out at their home on Benner Island, depicted in Airborne. That day I had Andy sit in the open door of the woodshed behind their house; you can see it forever open in this painting. That was a very, very special day....” —Peter Ralston
